5 tips to boost your CV!
A CV is your business card, a ticket to a possible job interview!
So the content and design have to be perfect. Below you will find 5 tips to score with recruiters!
1. Keep it simple!
A CV is a short summary of yourself and not a novel! Limit yourself to the relevant matters and the essence. Write briefly and in bullet points. You can always explain more during a conversation with the recruiter!
2. Jump out!
Always have a thorough look at the vacancy you are applying for. What are the competencies/skills/experiences needed for the job? Do you have these assets? Write them down at the top of your CV, so it immediately catyches the eye!
3. Introduce yourself
Introduce yourself briefly in a few sentences. Who are you and what are you looking for? This way it is immediately clear to the recruiter whether you are on the same wavelength.
4. What are your strengths?
Haven't got a clue what to put on your CV? Maybe you just graduated and dont have any experience yet? No worries! Think back to a holiday job you did, experiences from group work or yourth work. What did you excel in? Or how would others describe you?
5. Picture perfect!
It is always a good idea to include a picture of yourself on your resume, so the recruiter can get an even better idea of who you are. Be careful though, and dont just choose any picture you would post on Instagram. A picture in a bikini or swimming trunks is of course a no go!
