Function description
For a well-known potato company located in Wielsbeke, we are looking for:
Knife sharpener
As knife sharpener, you will ensure that our production lines can work optimally thanks to perfectly maintained knife blocks. For this you perform the following tasks:
- You periodically inspect the cutting machines to check whether the knife blocks and knife drums are working properly & safely.
- You determine which and when the knife blocks must be maintained.
- You accurately record the use and maintenance of the knife bloks.
- You sharpen the knives and also perform preventive maintenance (lubrication) of the various cutting machines.
- You disassemble the cutting machines so that damaged parts can be repaired or replaced.
- You ensure perfect stock management of the various people, both in terms of administration and reordering of necessary knives.
