Function description
As a machine operator of a booth machine (Bobst/Iberica), during your shift you will have full responsibility of an automated Vega folder-gluer (folding glue machine), including input and output (via stacking robots).
At the start of a new production, you set up the machine in accordance with production instructions and specifications and take care of the necessary adjustments throughout the production process. During production, you take care of the efficiency and quality of production so that it meets all aspects of specific customer requirements. You will do this by performing regular inspections. The goal is to produce conforming products at maximum speed with minimal waste.
During your shift, you will also be responsible for cleaning your work area and perform preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment. You resolve machine issues in cooperation with the technical department and/or your supervisor. Along with your fellow operators, you will support safety and improvement planning that ensures a safe and efficient work environment.

Good basic understanding of technology Experience as an operator in a similar industry ideally on similar machines is a PLUS POINT Review, interpret and understand content of production specifications for orders Ability to use common sense to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions Excellent attention to detail Cares deeply about safety and you have an eye for quality, order & cleanliness Basic arithmetic abilities (division, multiplication,...) Basic computer skills/data entry skills Ability to work 8+ hours standing upright Positive, motivated team player and thinking along with the general interest of the company You speak good Dutch OR good English |
